Major shareholder announcement - Sydbank A/S

Referring to section 31 the Danish Capital Markets Act this is to announce that as at 21 August 2018, through direct and indirect holdings, Sydbank has at its disposal 3,425,570 shares in Sydbank A/S, equal to 5.062% of the total number of shares in Sydbank A/S.

The Bank's holdings of own shares are predominantly attributable to the Bank's share buyback programme totalling DKK 1,250m. The share buyback programme was initiated on 21 February 2018 and increased by DKK 750m to DKK 1,250m on 22 June 2018. The share buyback programme will be completed on 31 January 2019. The share buyback programme is described in detail in Company Announcement Nos 04/2018 and 34/2018.
