In terms of transaction volume, the total number of building ownership transfers in the six major metropolitan areas in 2024 reached 271,309 units, representing a 14.8% year-on-year increase compared to 2023. Breaking it down: Taipei City saw a 12.0% increase, New Taipei City 6.9%, Taoyuan City 20.8%, Taichung City 15.3%, Tainan City 11.4%, and Kaohsiung City 24.8%. Notably, Tainan City surpassed 27,000 units in transaction volume for the first time—marking a historic high.
- Following the launch of the New Youth Homeownership Preferential Loan Program, demand from first-time buyers and self-use purchasers has been further strengthened, accelerating homebuying decisions. Additionally, the ongoing development of the Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP) continues to drive strong end-user housing demand, contributing to the expected sustained momentum in the property market through 2025.
- On the price front, Tainan's housing prices have shown steady growth, buoyed by the continued positive impact of the STSP development.

The third phase of the Northern Outer Ring Road was opened to traffic in December 2021, and the entire project (including Dazhou) is expected to be completed by 2027. Another major infrastructure project—the railway underground—is scheduled for completion in 2026, along with the addition of new stations such as Linsen Station and South Tainan Station. This has reintegrated the site into the broader Sunset Boulevard, seamlessly connecting the Anping Canal and Anping Harbor.
With the reopening of landmarks like Hayashi Department Store (Lin Department Store), the transformation of Haian Art Street, and the development of Hele Plaza, the area is now a vital part of the Tainan Cultural and Creative Boulevard, driving both tourism and commercial vibrancy.
