Appointment of Chief Executive Officer

STV Group plc today announces that Simon Pitts will join the Board as Chief Executive Officer on 3 January 2018. 

This appointment is made following the announcement in April 2017 of Rob Woodward's intention to step down from the Board and his role as Chief Executive Officer within a period of 12 months.    

Simon Pitts will join from ITV plc where he is a member of the executive board holding the position of Managing Director, Online, Pay TV, Interactive & Technology. Over a 17 year career at ITV plc Simon held a range of senior roles, was one of the main architects of the company's recent transformation, and oversaw strong growth in ITV's digital businesses. Additionally, Simon is currently vice chair of the trustees of the Royal Television Society.
