Director change

Speedy, the UK's leading provider of tools and equipment hire, and services to the construction, infrastructure and industrial markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shatish Dasani as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 February 2021. Shatish will also be appointed Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee and a member of the Nomination Committee from that date.

Shatish has over 20 years' experience in senior public company finance roles across various sectors, including building materials, general industrial and business services. He is currently a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee of Renew Holdings plc, the engineering services group supporting UK infrastructure. He is also a Trustee and Interim Chair of Unicef UK, the children's charity. Previously Shatish was Chief Financial Officer of Forterra plc and TT Electronics plc, and has also been alternate Non-Executive Director of Camelot Group plc and Public Member at Network Rail plc.

As previously announced, Bob Contreras will be stepping down as Non-Executive Director of Speedy on 17 February 2021. This will allow for a short handover period to Shatish in respect of Bob's responsibilities as Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee.

The company confirms that there is no further information required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the UK Listing Rules.
