SOLIDWORLD GROUP COLLABORA CON MAROTTA S.r.l. E VECTION TECHNOLOGIES NELLA REALIZZAZIONE DEL PRIMO PROTOTIPO DI VELIVOLO IPERSONICO EUROPEO PER TRASPORTO CIVILE
Si tratterà del primo jet ipersonico che viaggerà a 8 volte la velocità del suono per uso civile e collegherà Roma-New York in sole 2 ore. La costruzione del primo prototipo inizierà nel 2024.
Treviso, Napoli, Perth, 7 giugno 2023 – SolidWorld Group S.p.A. (ticker S3D), azienda a capo del Gruppo leader nel settore delle tecnologie digitali, della stampa 3D oltre che dell'additive manufacturing, comunica che collaborerà, insieme a Marotta S.r.l. e Vection Technologies, al progetto HEXA-FLY (High-Speed Experimental Fly Vehicles) dell'Agenzia Spaziale Europea (ESA).
Nell'ambito di questo progetto SolidWorld fornisce il software di progettazione 3D che, grazie all'integrazione con i sistemi dei partners, progetterà i sistemi di integrazione ed effettuerà le dovute simulazioni del velivolo ipersonico per il trasporto civile attraverso il pianeta. Con il progetto HEXA-FLY l'Europa, grazie anche al know-how italiano, acquisirà la tecnologia ipersonica al pari delle grandi potenze mondiali.
Il prototipo di questo velivolo è in fase di completamento della progettazione e sarà costruito a partire dal 2024. Il volo di prova avverrà presumibilmente nel 2026.
La collaborazione tra SolidWorld Group, Marotta S.r.l., azienda specializzata nella produzione di componenti e assiemi di alta precisione per l'aeronautica e la difesa, e Vection Technologies, società tecnologica internazionale leader in soluzioni 3D e VR (Virtual Reality) per le aziende (ASX:VR1, OTC:VCTNY), ha consentito lo sviluppo della rivoluzionaria soluzione di extended reality (XR) per progetti aerospaziali altamente complessi.
Gli ingegneri aerospaziali di Marotta S.r.l. svilupperanno il prototipo, utilizzando la piattaforma 3DFrame di Vection Technologies integrata con la suite di progettazione SolidWorks di Dassault Systèmes e la piattaforma di collaborazione Cisco Webex. L'integrazione è stata resa possibile dall'esperienza di SolidWorld Group, leader nello sviluppo e gestione di software ad alto contenuto tecnologico.
Il risultato ottenuto è stato possibile grazie alla capacità di simulare nella realtà virtuale, ovvero nel metaverso, le attività di integrazione dei sottosistemi, di ottimizzazione dell'ergonomia degli specialisti addetti al velivolo, riducendo notevolmente i costi di progettazione delle attrezzature di integrazione e minimizzando i rischi di errori. La soluzione innovativa ha consentito a Marotta S.r.l. di progettare, prototipare e testare virtualmente il velivolo HEXA-FLY, riducendo significativamente la necessità di prototipi fisici e i costi logistici.

SOLIDWORLD GROUP COLLABORATES WITH MAROTTA S.r.l. AND VECTION TECHNOLOGIES ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRST EUROPEAN HYPERSONIC AIRCRAFT FOR CIVIL TRANSPORT PROTOTYPE
It will be the first hypersonic jet traveling at 8 times the speed of sound for civilian use and will connect Rome-New York in just 2 hours. Construction of the first prototype will begin in 2024.
Treviso, Naples, Perth, June 7 th 2023 - SolidWorld Group S.p.A. (ticker S3D), parent of a leading digital technologies, 3D printing and additive manufacturing Group, announces that it will collaborate with Marotta S.r.l. and Vection Technologies on the European Space Agency's HEXA-FLY (High-Speed Experimental Fly Vehicles) project (ESA).
As part of this project, SolidWorld is providing the 3D design software that, through integration with partner systems, will design the integration systems and perform the necessary simulations of the hypersonic aircraft for civil transportation across the planet. With the HEXA-FLY project, Europe, thanks in part to Italian know-how, will acquire hypersonic technology on par with the leading global powers.
The prototype of this aircraft is in the design completion stage and will be built from 2024. The test flight is expected to take place in 2026.
The collaboration between SolidWorld Group, Marotta S.r.l., a company specializing in the production of high-precision components and assemblies for aerospace and defense, and Vection Technologies, a leading international 3D and VR (Virtual Reality) solutions for businesses enterprise (ASX:VR1, OTC:VCTNY), has resulted in the development of the revolutionary extended reality (XR) solution for highly complex aerospace projects.
Marotta S.r.l.'s aerospace engineers will develop the prototype, using Vection Technologies' 3DFrame platform integrated with Dassault Systèmes' SolidWorks design suite and the Cisco Webex collaboration platform. The integration was made possible by the expertise of SolidWorld Group, a leader in the development and management of high-tech software.
The result obtained was possible thanks to the ability to simulate in virtual reality (i.e. in the metaverse) the integration of subsystems, the optimization of ergonomics of aircraft specialists, greatly reducing the design costs of integration equipment and minimizing the risk of errors. The innovative solution enabled Marotta S.r.l. to design, prototype and virtually test the HEXA-FLY aircraft, significantly reducing the need for physical prototypes and logistical costs.
