Mansion Holdings Limited (Incorporated in Bermuda with limited liability) Announcement The board of directors of the Company wish to inform the shareholders of the Company that a substantial shareholder of the Company has dealt in the shares of the Company and to clarify certain statement made in certain media relating to the negotiation with certain corporation in the subscription of shares in the Company and co-operation in environmental related projects is untrue. This statement is made at the request of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. The Company was informed by Purple Gold Int'l Limited ("Purple Gold"), a substantial shareholder, that it has disposed of 78,570,000 shares in the Company, representing approximately 2.5% of the existing issued share capital, on 11th January, 2000. After the aforesaid dealings by Purple Gold, the shareholding interests of the Company held by Purple Gold is reduced from approximately 18.09% to approximately 15.59%. Save for the above dealings by Purple Gold, the Company is not aware of any reasons which resulted in the increases in the price and the trading volume of the shares of the Company on 11th January, 2000. The Board of directors of the Company noted that certain media published today containing statement to the effect that the Company is in negotiation with certain corporation in the subscription of shares in the Company and co-operation in environmental related projects. The Company wish to clarify that the contents are untrue. We also confirm that there are no negotiations or agreements relating to intended acquisitions or realisations which are discloseable under paragraph 3 of the Listing Agreement, neither is the Board aware of any matter discloseable under the general obligation imposed by paragraph 2 of the Listing Agreement, which is or may be of a price-sensitive nature.
