bmp AG: Sale of entire stake in K2

As part of an accelerated book-building process, bmp AG (ISIN DE0003304200) sold its 18.07% stake in K2 Internet S.A., Warsaw , which is listed on the main segment of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, to a number of renowned Polish financial investors.
Since K2 Internet S.A. was founded in mid-2000, bmp has taken the role of lead investor and has actively contributed to and facilitated the successful development of the company. This has been one of bmp's most successful transactions. After an initial major sale of shares in connection with the IPO in spring 2008, bmp has now decided to undertake a complete withdrawal. On the whole, bmp has achieved an IRR of approx. 35% with the transaction and has generated 6.5 times the amount of its invested capital .
Today, K2 is the leading online media agency in Poland. K2 consistently demonstrates its innovative strength and creativity and is thus able to attain both clients' share of wallet and prices at lucrative levels on a continuous basis.
An early and good sense of Michal Lach, founder and later supervisory board chairman, for digital trends combined with the long-time excellent work of the management team under the direction of co-founder Janusz Zebrowski, has led to the formation of a high-performance knowledge and service organisation, which as a result of its outstanding 250-employee team was presented with 21 awards in 2010 alone and increased its sales from 2000 to 2011 by more than twenty-fold.
