The Manager Company Announcements Office Australian Stock Exchange 20 Bridge Street SYDNEY NSW 2000
Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: Silver Mines Limited - Securities Purchase Plan
Silver Mines Limited (SVL or the company) is pleased to announce that the Securities Purchase Plan (SPP), which was announced on 31 August 2012, closed 26 September 2012 with the following results:
| Fully paid ordinary shares issued | 13,885,890 |
|---|---|
| Unlisted options granted | 6,942,972 |
The company is delighted with the result given the volatility that currently exists in the market and would like to thank shareholders for their continued support.
The company will now look to place approximately 15.8 million fully paid ordinary shares and 7.9 million options which make up the shortfall of the SPP with professional and sophisticated investors.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact Richard Holstein on +61 2 9253 0930 or myself.
Yours sincerely
Charles Straw Director
