APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Orpheus Energy Limited (ASX: OEG) is pleased to announce the appointment of a nonexecutive director, Mr Mike Rhodes from 1 October 2012.

Mr Rhodes is a highly experienced drilling engineer by background, having previously worked for companies including Poole Intairdrill, Poole Company Houston and Antah Holdings around the world, including the Middle East and South East Asia. He has lived and worked in Indonesia for over twenty years, and has an extensive network of political, industrial and trade contacts.

Mr Rhodes is also a principal and Director of PT Mega Coal International, Orpheus’ Indonesian Joint Venture partner. Prior to founding PT Mega Coal with Chairman Ir Nugroho Suksmanto in 2005, he established a very successful infrastructure and logistics company, based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, primarily servicing the major mining companies.

Since before Orpheus listed in 2011, Mr Rhodes has worked closely with the Orpheus Board and Management team to help identify production and near-term production coal mining projects, assist in negotiating transactional details and develop the projects at an operational level.

Mr Rhodes holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering, from the University of South Louisiana, Lafayette, USA.
