Jason Lenga and John Armstrong to end their full time involvement with SEEK

Jason Lenga, Managing Director – SEEK International, and John Armstrong, SEEK’s Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) have independently decided to end their full time involvement with SEEK Limited (“SEEK”) after 15 and 12 years respectively.

Jason will leave at the end of financial year 2015 to join Tiger Global Management as an Operations Partner and will retain an involvement with SEEK in a non full-time capacity as an Advisor to SEEK well as continuing on the Zhaopin Board.

Jason has been involved in all aspects of the business, initially leading the Corporate Strategy function, then leading the start-up of SEEK Learning and SEEK’s Education Division and most recently leading SEEK’s international expansion.

SEEK CEO, Andrew Bassat, said “Jason has made an enormous contribution to the Company across each of our employment, education and international businesses and it is impossible to overstate his role in making SEEK what it is today both in terms of outcomes and culture. His full time involvement will be greatly missed but I fully understand his desire to take on new challenges after so long and am delighted about his ongoing involvement. There is a very strong team of senior executives that have been working with Jason on our international businesses and I am confident that we can continue with our strong performance and growth in our international markets going forward. On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Jason for his enormous contribution.”

Jason Lenga said it is with mixed emotions that his full time involvement with SEEK draws to a close. “I’ve loved every minute of my time at SEEK and will always be incredibly passionate about the business and its exciting future. Great foundations have been laid and with a highly talented team in place, I look forward to seeing the business continue to succeed. I feel privileged to have worked with many talented people at SEEK in Australia and internationally.

I would like to sincerely thank Andrew Bassat for his unwavering support and mentorship throughout my entire career. SEEK’s global success is a result of his extraordinary vision and leadership. I would also like to thank the Board and Executive Team for their support.”

John will continue as CFO, and assist in the transition to a yet to be appointed CFO until he leaves the Company at the end of calendar year 2015, after which, he will further pursue a portfolio of other business interests, including continuing as a member of the Zhaopin Board.

John has led SEEK’s Finance function, played a critical role in the IPO, all Capital Management initiatives and supported all of SEEK’s M&A activities.

“John has been a fantastic CFO for the Company for nearly 12 years overseeing with great aplomb massive changes in the size and complexity of the business. We are sad to lose him at the end of the year however we are supportive of his decision to focus on other areas of corporate life. John leaves the Finance function in great shape, and on behalf of the SEEK Board, I would like to thank John for his enormous contribution,” Andrew Bassat said.

John Armstrong said “I would like to thank Andrew and Paul Bassat, the Executive Team, and the Board for all their support and guidance. I’ve enjoyed all of the opportunities and it’s been an incredible journey. I feel lucky and privileged to have worked for such an amazing organisation and to

have contributed to SEEK growing from a small private business into now the largest global online employment marketplace.

The future of SEEK is very exciting and I look forward to having some involvement in the business going forward. I wish SEEK every success and I know that there is strong and deep leadership in the organisation to help it succeed in the future.”

SEEK will soon commence the search for a replacement CFO, including internal and external candidates.
