ENTITLEMENTS ISSUE SHORTFALL

Further to the Company’s announcement dated 24 August 2009, Sandfire Resources NL (ASX: SFR ) ( Sandfire or the Company ) has today allotted 1,954,483 ordinary shares at $1.20 per share from the shortfall available following closure of the Company’s recent Non-renounceable Entitlements Offer.

The Company will advise allotment of the remaining shortfall shares as and when the applications are received and processed.
