MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Sandfire Resources NL (ASX : SFR : “Sandfire”) advises that Martin Reed has resigned as Chief Operating Officer of the Company t o pursue another opportunity in the West Au s tralian mining sector.
Sandfire’s Managing Director and CEO, Karl Simich, said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to express my thanks to Martin for his significant contribution, initially as Pro j ect Manager during the construction and development of th e DeGrussa Project and more recently as C h ief Operating Officer.
“As Project Manager, Martin led the team which successfully brought th e DeGrussa Project into production on time and on budget. We wish him success in his future endeavo u rs.”
Sandfire intends to appoint a new Chief Operating Officer with a strong back g round and experience in operational management and has commenced an executive search process.
“With the DeGrussa operation com p leting its ramp-up to full production over the next few months, we see this as an appropriate time in the C ompany’s evolution to further strengthen o u r management team with the appointment of a new COO wh o will work closely with our existing operatio n s and commercial teams as Sandfire moves into its next cha p ter of growth.” Mr Simich said.
