APPOINTMENT OF JOINT COMPANY SECRETARY

Sandfire Resources NL (ASX : SFR ; “Sandfire”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Klug as joint Company Secretary. Mr Klug joined Sandfire in February 2011 and is the Company’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Mr Klug will be joint Company Secretary with Matthew Fitzgerald, Sandfire’s existing Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer. The appointment is effective immediately.

The Directors of Sandfire welcome Mr Klug to the role.
