Highlights

  • Rumble officially quoted on ASX on 1 July 2011.
  • Raised $3 million fully oversubscribed.
  • Since listing Rumble has expanded its mineral portfolio from;
    • o 7 tenements and 4 applications covering 120 sq km; to
    • o 14 tenements and 12 applications covering 2,500 sq km.
  • This includes the acquisition of the Beadell Project and Boolaloo Project for $300,000.
  • Rumble now has 4 project areas in Western Australia: Ashburton, Beadell, Bulong and Forrestania.
  • Currently planning airborne geophysics and ground exploration programs.

Australian exploration company Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR) ("Rumble") listed on ASX on 1 July 2011 after the completion of an oversubscribed IPO raising $3 million.

Rumble has already moved to expand its presence in the highly prospective Ashburton Region of Western Australia and also acquired the Beadell Project in the Paterson Province - host to world class copper, gold, uranium and manganese deposits.

In the few months since listing Rumble made two key acquisitions:

  • Boolaloo Project which further increases Rumble's strategic holding in the emerging Ashburton gold and base metal province in WA; and
  • Beadell Project which expands Rumble's exploration portfolio into the Paterson Province of WA.

Rumble has acquired an interest in both projects from Cauldron Energy Ltd (ASX:CXU) for a cash consideration of $300,000.

Ashburton Project (includes Paulsens South and Boolaloo)

The Ashburton Project is situated approximately 270 km east of Exmouth and is accessed via a sealed road from NW Coastal Highway. The project is prospective for gold mineralisation similar in style to the Paulsens gold deposit and also for base metals particularly copper and lead.

The Company first acquired an interest in the region through a JV with Venture Minerals (ASX:VMS) on E08/1457, E08/1748 and E47/1765 whereby Rumble will earn a 51% interest by the expenditure of $500,000 by 1 July 2014 and a further 19% interest by the expenditure of a further $1 million by 1 July 2016. The company must also complete a 1,500m RC/diamond drill program by 1 July 2012 as part of the initial earn in.

These tenements are adjacent to the Paulsens Gold Mine, operated by Northern Star Resources (ASX: NST). The Paulsens Mine contains an Indicated and Inferred Resource of 1,268,000t at 5.3 g/t for 226,000 oz gold and is currently producing in excess of 80,000 oz gold per annum.

The Boolaloo Project, acquired from Cauldron, now forms part of the larger Ashburton Project and covers rocks of the Proterozoic Ashburton basin and the Boolaloo granite which is the most northerly extent of the Gascoyne complex.

The most recent exploration, at Boolaloo, by Cauldron Energy (formerly Jackson Minerals) included, data and literature reviews, geological mapping, rock chip sampling, channel sampling, geochemical sampling, RC drilling, and geophysical surveys including ground IP, airborne magnetics, VTEM and Hyperspectral.

In 2007 Jackson completed 22 RC drill holes for 2,462 metres at the K15, K16 and Minga West prospects on tenement E08/1605. The drilling had the primary objective to test the depth extent of surface mineralisation and intersected significant copper and gold mineralisation. The program intersected significant copper and gold mineralisation with three intersections of greater than 3m at 1.0% Cu. MIRC002: 3m @ 1.06% Cu and

1.4 g/t gold; MIRC004: 4m @ 1.48% Cu and 0.89g/t Au from 95m; and MIRC009: 3m @ 1.06% Cu and 0.94g/t Au from 137m. All holes were drilled at -60° to the east.

In 2008, an aeromagnetic survey was conducted over the Minga Bore area with a low level airborne magnetic, radiometric and digital terrain survey. This survey included approximately 2,200 line kilometres, at 50 metre line spacing and 30 metre sensor height. Jackson also completed a small-scale IP (Induced Polarity) orientation survey. The positive correlation between the survey response and known mineralisation indicates that this method is well suited to identifying further copper mineralisation in the area.

Beadell Project (60%)

The Beadell Project is located 450 kilometres east of Newman, via the Tallawanna Track, in the central north of Western Australia. The project area extends to within 5 km of the junction of the Tallawanna Track and the Canning Stock Route. Recent exploration success in the region has been made by Encounter Resources Ltd (ASX:ENR) at the Yeneena Project BM1 target, with numerous intersections of copper oxide mineralisation and recent intersections of copper sulphides.

During the quarter Rumble acquired a significant interest in the Beadell Project, having obtained a 60% interest in E45/2405 and E45/2406 and an 80% interest in ELA 45/3799 and ELA 45/3823.The Beadell Project is in the Patterson Province of Western Australia and covers the highly prospective Rudall Complex host to world class occurrences of copper, gold, uranium and manganese.

The regional geology consists of extensive late Tertiary to recent sand cover that largely obscures a basement of folded and metamorphosed Lower to Mid Proterozoic strata, which include schists, gneisses, iron formations, cherts, carbonate beds and basic volcanics, variably intruded by ultramafic to granitic igneous rocks.

Previous exploration by Cauldron included airborne and ground based geophysics and identified two coincident electromagnetic (EM) and gravity anomalies within E45/2405.

The dimensions of the larger target are in the order of 2,200m long and 300m wide the southern "bulls eye" anomaly has dimensions in the order of 500m by 300m. These targets have the potential to be poly-metallic sulphide bodies.

In late 2010 Cauldron completed the first reconnaissance RC program, drilling six holes for 1,702m and identifying widespread copper, lead and zinc mineralisation. Drilling also identified a graben like structure bounded by faults on either edge. The mineral assemblages and alterations identified in the drilling are what would be expected in a classic VMS type deposit. The Cauldron drilling only targeted the southern anomaly and did not intersect massive sulphides, indicating the EM targets remain to be fully tested.

Bulong Project (earning 80%)

The Bulong Project is located 30 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia and is north of the old Bulong town site. The Company is in the process of acquiring an 80% interest in M25/180 with two further payments of $50,000 due by 30 June 2012 and 2013. The Company also has agreed to complete a 1,500m drill program by 30 June 2013.

The Project covers a 2 km strike of prospective greenstone belt with numerous old workings present within the lease.

Forrestania Project (51%)

The Forrestania Project is located 80 km east to north east of Hyden and 140 km north of Ravensthorpe in Western Australia. The Project covers part of the Forrestania Greenstone Belt which forms part of the southern extension of the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt. The Company has acquired and initial 51% interest in the Project and can acquire a further 24% interest by the completion of a 1,000m RC drill program.
