A process that may result in the sale of DONG Energy's share has been initiated.

DONG Energy can confirm rumours that the company has strategic considerations
about its future engagement in Stadtwerke Lübeck GmbH.
A process that may result in the sale of DONG Energy’s share has been
initiated. DONG Energy is a minority shareholder in Stadtwerke Lübeck GmbH,
with a 25.1 per cent stake.

DONG Energy is highly satisfied with the cooperation with Stadtwerke Lübeck,
but needs to release capital for new investments as part of its ambitious
growth strategy.

DONG Energy’s plans concerning the potential sale of its minority shareholding
do not change its commitment to the German market. Germany is and will remain
an important part of DONG Energy’s international footprint. DONG Energy
supplies stadtwerke and large industries with gas, electricity and related
services, constructs offshore wind farms in the German sector of the North Sea
and has gas storage facilities in Kiel, Etzel, Peckensee and Nüttermoor.

The information provided in this announcement does not change DONG Energy's
previous financial guidance for the 2012 financial year or the announced
expected investment level.
