ELECTROCOMPONENTS PLC (the "Company")

Director/PDMR Shareholding

Electrocomponents plc (the 'Company') announces that a conditional award of 513,784 ordinary 10 pence shares in the Company was made today in Oxford to Lindsley Ruth to compensate him for the value of remuneration forfeited by him upon leaving his previous employment to join the Company, in accordance with the Company's remuneration policy and Listing Rule 9.4.2(2). The transaction was notified to the Company today.

No consideration is payable for the award. A maximum of 50% of the award will vest on each of 31 December 2017 and 31 December 2018.  Further details of the award will be set out in the Company's Annual Report for the year ended 31 March 2015.

This announcement relates to transactions notified in accordance with DTR 3.1.2R.
