ERIC DUMONT APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCIAL COMMUNICATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Eric Dumont has been appointed Vice President, Financial Communication and Sustainable Development of Rexel Group, effective November 1, 2008.

Eric Dumont will be responsible for developing the Group's financial communication policy and managing relations with investors, shareholders and analysts. He will also be in charge of overseeing the Group's sustainable development policy. He succeeds Frédéric de Castro who has decided to pursue a new career opportunity outside the Group. Eric Dumont will report to Nicolas Lwoff, Management Board member, Group Senior Vice President, Finance, Control and Legal Affairs.

This appointment demonstrates Rexel's internal mobility policy as Eric Dumont was previously Managing Director of Rexel France's Coaxel distribution network. His operational experience and in-depth knowledge of B-to-B distribution of electrical supplies will be major assets in his new role.

Eric Dumont began his career in 1993 as Project Manager within electrical contractor Cegelec. In 1998 he joined consulting firm McKinsey & Co where he became Associate Principal. He went back to operational responsibilities in 2004 with the Casino retail group to develop and run new formats in the Convenience Stores Division before joining Rexel France in 2005 to set up and develop the Coaxel network.

Aged 40, Eric Dumont is an Electrical Engineer from Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (SUPELEC) and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
