Director Appointment

Reece Limited (“Reece Group”; ASX: REH) today announces the appointment of Gavin Street to the Reece Limited Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective 1 February 2025.

Gavin has more than 18 years’ experience in executive roles and is currently the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Vulcan Steel Limited (“Vulcan”; ASX:VSL; NZX:VSL), responsible for the company’s customer engagement and business strategy. Prior to joining Vulcan, Gavin was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Lawerence & Hanson Australia, an electrical wholesaler, responsible for over 150 outlets and over 1,000 employees.

Gavin brings deep experience in finance, business and trade distribution, as well as expertise in customer and employee engagement. Gavin also held various leadership roles at Reece Group from 2008 to 2021, including CEO of Reece Australia and New Zealand, Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Company Secretary and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Reece Group Chairman and CEO Peter Wilson said, “We are looking forward to welcoming Gavin to the Reece Board in February. Gavin’s deep trade distribution knowledge, expertise in finance and passion for both the customer and people experience will bring great capability to the Reece Board.”

Board Committee Changes

From 1 February 2025, Gavin Street will Chair the Audit and Risk Committee and join as a member of the Remuneration Committee. Ross McEwan will Chair the Remuneration Committee and Angela Mentis, who joined the Board in November, will continue as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and join the Remuneration Committee.

NOTES TO EDITORS: Gavin Street Biography

Gavin Street has more than 18 years’ in executive roles and is currently the CCO of Vulcan Steel Limited (ASX:VSL; NZX:VSL), responsible for the company’s commercial activities. Prior to joining Vulcan, Gavin was the CEO and Managing Director at Lawerence & Hanson Australia.

From 2008 to 2021, Gavin held various leadership roles at Reece Limited, CEO of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Group CFO and Company Secretary. During his time at Reece, Gavin provided valuable leadership support across business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, customer loyalty and employee engagement. As CEO of ANZ, Gavin led the development and delivery of the Reece 2030 Strategy and as CFO in 2018, played an important role in the execution and financing for the acquisition of Morsco Inc.

Gavin holds a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Computing from Monash University and completed the Certified Practising Account (CPA) program in 1996.
