ALTERNATE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

Ramelius Resources Limited advises that Mr Nicholas John Smart was appointed as alternate director for Mr Robert Michael Kennedy for the purpose of attending and voting at any meeting of directors held during the period 1 August to 5 September 2005 inclusive. Mr Smart ceases to be an alternate director at 5pm (Adelaide time) on 5 September 2005.

Attached is an Appendix 3X Initial Director's Interest Notice for Mr Smart.

Ramelius Resources Limited advises that Kathryn Anne Presser has resigned as a Company Secretary of the Company on 31 July 2005. Mr Dom Francese continues to act as Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of Ramelius.
