Consolidated Revenues at Rs 623 Crores, up 8.8% yoy Consolidated PAT at Rs 68 Crores, up 23.8% yoy
Mumbai, 18 July, 2019: Rallis India Limited, a TATA Enterprise and a leading player in the Indian agri inputs industry announced its financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2019.
Announcing the results, Mr. Sanjiv Lal, Managing Director and CEO, said, "Although the monsoon was delayed and impacted sowings, revamped channel policies and improved price realisation yielded a satisfactory performance both in agrochemicals and seeds in the domestic market. There has also been strong growth in our international crop protection chemical business and this momentum is expected to continue. Our capacity expansion at Dahej is on track. Raw material availability and cost pressures were witnessed in Q1. Meanwhile, Rallis remains focused on navigating this scenario with enhanced focus on supply chain effectiveness and executing on its growth plans"
Consolidated Key Highlights – Q1
The company recorded consolidated revenues of ₹ 623 crs for the quarter ended 30 June, 2019, a growth of 8.8% over PY( ₹ 573 crs). Profit before tax (before exceptional items) was at ₹ 87 crs (PY ₹ 76 crs) and the profit after tax was ₹ 68 crs (PY ₹ 55 crs).
Standalone Key Highlights – Q1
Rallis standalone recorded revenues of ₹ 363 crs (PY ₹ 352 crs) for the quarter ended 30 June, 2019. Profit before tax (before exceptional items) was at ₹ 12 crs (PY ₹ 11 crs) and the profit after tax was ₹ 8 crs (PY ₹ 8 crs).
Key Developments –
- The revamped trade policy has been well accepted by the channel partners in the domestic market, both crop protection (CP) chemicals and seeds.
- International CP chemical business grew by 12%, chiefly driven by Acephate and Metribuzin
- Poised to launch 2 formulations in the domestic market
- Completed first stage capacity expansion of Metribuzin 500 MT in June 2019; commercial production underway
