Future PVA TePla AG extends product portfolio by including Elnik Systems Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Future PVA TePla AG extends product portfolio by including Elnik Systems Feldkirchen, October 25, 2002: PVA MIMtech LLC, New Jersey, USA, which was established in October 2002 as a vehicle for that purpose, has acquired the entire assets of the division Elnik Systems from the insolvency estate of IPM Inc., New Jersey. Following registration of the merger between PVA GmbH, Asslar, and TePla AG, the company – then with the name of PVA TePla AG – will indirectly hold a 25% share in PVA MIMtech LLC. Options are also held to successively acquire the remainder of the shares. With Elnik Systems, world market leader for MIM batch furnaces, PVA Tepla AG is gaining faster access to MIM (metal injection moulding) technology. A key, high- growth technology and know-how in systems for treating sophisticated materials is thus being added to the company’s product portfolio. The MIM process uses powder metal technology to create complex net shape, high density metal parts. This process is economical for a wide variety of components, directly competing with both cast and wrought parts in many industrial, medical, sports, aero space and automotive industries to name just a few applications. This technology is also environmentally friendly since it uses no cutting fluids, nor creates metal waste. PVA MIMtech LLC / Elnik Systems currently has a workforce of around 25 employees. The company expects that PVA MIMtech LLC will become a net contributor of profits within the next couple of years. Key account customers like Boing (USA) and Swatch (Switzerland) have already placed first orders for systems of the new founded PVA MIMtech.
