Highlights:
-
ZYL has commenced its 7,000m drill program at the Kangwane Anthracite Project
-
Drilling will consist of a combination of confirmatory drilling, exploratory drilling and reserve development drilling
-
The drill program is designed to complement the quality of the existing JORC-compliant resources, increase the total resource base and define reserves for development
-
Specialist mining engineering group Olympic Park and SRK Consulting are implementing and overseeing the drill program
-
The drill program forms an integral part of the Bankable Feasibility Study and re-affirms the Company’s corporate strategy of becoming an emerging producer of high quality metallurgical coal
The Directors of emerging coal producer ZYL Limited ( ZYL or the Company ), together with its joint venture partners, are pleased to announce that drilling has commenced at the Kangwane Anthracite Project ( Kangwane or the Project ), further progressing the development in the conduct of the Bankable Feasibility Study ( BFS ) at the Project.
The Company recently appointed Olympic Park Trading (Pty) Ltd ( Olympic Park ) to oversee the drilling program at the Kangwane Project, with drill rigs recently mobilised. Drilling has now commenced at the Kangwane Project, with the total program including drilling and laboratory analysis expected to be completed in approximately 2-3 months.
Olympic Park will be responsible for completing an initial 7,000m of drilling during the BFS, being a combination of confirmatory, in-fill and step-out exploratory drilling. This drilling program is designed to prove up existing exploration results, increase the global resource base and to delineate Proven and Probable Reserves at Kangwane .

“Any such information relating to exploration targets must be expressed so that it cannot be misrepresented or misconstrued as an estimate of Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves. The terms Resource(s) or Reserve(s) must not be used in this context. Any statement referring to potential quantity and grade of the target must be expressed as ranges and must include (1) a detailed explanation of the basis for the statement, and (2) a proximate statement that the potential quantity and grade is conceptual in nature, that there has been insufficient exploration to define a Mineral Resource on the property and that it is uncertain if further exploration will result in discovery of a Mineral Resource on the property.”
