On March 16, 2010, PPL Corporation issued a press release announcing that its subsidiary, PPL Electric Utilities Corporation (“PPL Electric”), had called for the redemption in full, on April 15, 2010, of the five series of PPL Electric’s preferred stock having voting rights.
