Company Announcements Office ASX Limited Exchange Plaza 2 The Esplanade Perth, WA. 6000
UPDATE ON COMPANY ACTIVITIES
The Directors of Sub Soil Technologies Limited (“SOI” or the “Company”) are pleased to provide an update to shareholders regarding the Company’s activities.
Nutrimix and Soil Technology
Since the Company’s last announcement, the Company’s consultants have uncovered new raw materials and expanded the ability to produce a commercially viable soil supplement product.
The Company now has a site in Toowoomba to house following products for further investigation:
-
Stable litter - R acing stables are cleaned daily and the litter containing wood shavings, or rice hulls, and animal waste is collected on a weekly basis and dumped.
-
Paunch - Cattle stomach contents a waste material from abattoirs.
-
Stock yard waste - W aste is collected in ponds where anaerobic activity breaks down this waste into a soil like consistency. The ponds are emptied on a regular basis and the product stock piled.
-
Green waste - collected from the local council, first passed the waste through a tub grinder and then stock pile for collection by the council or the public. The balance is dumped in the land fill.
-
Mill mud - Collected from a sugar mill in Childers and is a by-produced created during the processing the sugar cane. It contains soil, small particles of cane and ash from the boilers.
-
Composted cane trash - A product produced by a QLD based company and is available for sale as they have large quantities stock piled.

The above products offer high levels of organic matter, good nutrient profiles and may individually produce a good soil supplement.
The Company is awaiting analysis results from the testing of these raw materials to assess their ability to produce a slow release fertiliser suitable for a number of applications.
Composting will now commence on raw materials that require breaking down into a soil like consistency. The time frame for this will depend on the temperatures that can be generated to accelerate this process. Product ready for analysis is estimated to be available within 6 to 8 weeks.
Other raw materials have also been deemed not suitable or in limited or seasonal supply. These include, wine production waste, bio waste from sewage treatment plants, bagasse, feed lot waste (transport related issues), cotton compost (high chloride content) and rice straw (limited supply and transport costs).
As well as being used in a formulation for Nutrimix, the Company has also considered if the raw materials that make up this product have a potential commercial value as individual items or in combination.
The Company’s consultants have also engaged with the management of a QLD based local council to discuss the green waste that ends up in council’s landfills. An opportunity exists to work in partnership with the local council to access the waste, process and market the waste as compost and mulch, as well as for the Company’s own use. The Company will update shareholders as this relationship develops.
One of the more significant issues facing the soil supplement industry is the issue of transport related costs. Being able to source raw materials locally and process locally has the potential for franchising type model to become economically viable and is an option the Company will continue to explore.
Tasinifu Manganese Project (“Project”)
The Company has commenced due diligence on the Project including the engagement of Indonesian based geologists in conjunction with Australian based geologists (Ravex Pty Ltd) to conduct further site visits to the Project and other areas of interest. The Company will continue to update shareholders as due diligence progresses on the Project.
The Company has also received information on further manganese projects in the West Timor and surrounding areas. The Company will update the market further should a transaction materialise.
For any further information please contact the Company on (08) 9321 3277.

Guy T. Le Page Executive Chairman
