ANNOUNCEMENT - PERPETUAL INVESTMENTS FUNDS UNDER MANAGEMENT

Perpetual Investments advises that its funds under management as at 30 June 2005 were $26.7 billion. This compares with the figures at 31 May 2005 of $26.4 billion and 30 June 2004 of $21.7 billion. The $26.7 billion was calculated after year-end net distributions of $0.6 billion.
