Item 8.01 Other Events.

On March 2, 2020, Meta Financial Group, Inc. (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that MetaBank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, announced that the sale of MetaBank's community bank division to Central Bank closed on February 29, 2020.

A copy of the press release issued by the Company is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
