Origin Announces Board Change

Origin Energy Limited (Origin) today announced that Sir Ralph Norris has advised that, because he intends to reduce his public company board commitments, he will not seek re-election at the 2015 Annual General Meeting, and will retire prior to that date. Sir Ralph joined the Board in April 2012 as an independent Non-executive Director.

Origin Chairman, Mr Gordon Cairns said, “The Board thanks Ralph for his huge contribution to Origin. He has brought a wealth of financial and management expertise to the Board together with a deep knowledge of global business. We will miss him but wish him well.

“The Origin Board has in place a succession planning program, so is well placed to manage Sir Ralph’s decision. We would expect to identify a new independent Nonexecutive Director prior to the 2015 Annual General Meeting,” Mr Cairns said.
