Gaskonzerns MOL erworben und einen Anteil an den Stimmrechten von MOL von 5% überschritten hat. Das Management von MOL wurde darüber von OMV informiert. OMV hält weniger als 10% an der ungarischen Gesellschaft. OMV beabsichtigt derzeit nicht, ihren Anteil an MOL über 10% zu erhöhen und wird das MOL-Management voll unterstützen. OMV sieht die Aktien von MOL unterbewertet und ist zuversichtlich, dass MOL die offenen Fragen, speziell im Bereich Gas, lösen wird. OMV stimmt mit MOL überein, daß die Konsolidierung der Ölindustrie in Mitteleuropa vorangetrieben werden soll und wird MOL in der Fortführung dieser Unternehmenspolitik unterstützen. Der Erwerb der MOL Aktien durch OMV ist in diesem Zusammenhang zu sehen und sollte das Erreichen von Vorteilen für beide Gesellschaften fördern. MOL was informed accordingly that at the moment OMV has secured less than a 10% stake in the company. As of now, OMV has no intention of increasing its shareholding in MOL above 10%. OMV sees MOL shares as undervalued and is fully supportive of the management of MOL in resolving its open issues, notably the gas question. OMV shares the view of the management of MOL regarding the consolidation of the oil industry in Central Europe and will support MOL in the further continuation of that policy. The acquisition of MOL shares by OMV should be seen in this context and should facilitate in achieving benefits for the two companies.
