TRADING HALT

The securities of Marathon Resources Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 3 December 2014 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Marathon Resources Limited (ASX: MTN) Request for Trading Halt

Pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1 Marathon Resources Limited (ASX: MTN)(the “Company”) requests a trading halt be placed on its quoted fully paid ordinary shares effective immediately.

In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1 the Company provides the following information regarding the request:

1. The trading halt is to enable the Company to conclude arrangements and provide a major announcement concerning the future operations of the Company. The Company anticipates announcing details of the arrangements by the commencement of trading on Wednesday 3 December 2014;

2. The Company requests that the trading halt continue until the earlier of the release of the abovementioned announcement to the market, or the commencement of trading on Wednesday 3 December 2014;

3. The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted, nor of any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
