Nanosonics appoints Marie McDonald as Non-Executive Director and announces retirement of Dr Ron Weinberger as Executive Director

Nanosonics (ASX: NAN) today announced the appointment of Marie McDonald as Non-Executive Director, effective 24 October 2016.

Ms McDonald has a strong background in corporate and commercial law having practised for many years as a partner of Ashurst. Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, continuous disclosure, related party transactions, buybacks and capital raisings.

Ms McDonald was Chair of the Corporations Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia from 2012 to 2013, having previously been a Deputy Chair. She was also a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel from 2001 to 2010. Ms McDonald’s qualifications include Bachelor of Science (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons).

Ms McDonald is currently a non-executive Director of CSL Limited.

The Company also announced that Dr Ron Weinberger has indicated his intention to retire from the Board of Nanosonics at the conclusion of the Company’s Annual General Meeting on 4 November 2016.

Dr Ron Weinberger joined the Company in August 2004 and was appointed as Executive Director in July 2008. Ron continues to be a member of the Senior Executive team at Nanosonics in his position as President Technology Development/Commercialisation.
