Directorate Change Announcement: Piedmont Nominee

Mitchells & Butlers plc (the Company) announces that Piedmont Inc. has given written notice - pursuant to a deed dated 15 July 2009 between the Company and Piedmont Inc., under which Piedmont Inc. has the right to appoint two Directors - that it wishes to nominate Josh Levy to be appointed to the Board as its non-independent representative Director in place of Douglas McMahon, who will step down from the Board. As such, Mr Levy will be appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 13 November 2015, acting as a nominated shareholder representative of Piedmont Inc. (an investment vehicle of Joe Lewis). Mr Levy will stand for reappointment at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the Company, to be held on 28 January 2016.

Mr Levy works in the Investment Banking Division of Investec Bank plc and holds an MSc and a BA (Hons) from the University of Nottingham.

The Company confirms that there is no information about Mr. Levy requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
