On August 4, 2016, MetLife, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a video second quarter 2016 financial update from chief financial officer John Hele, a transcript and description of which are attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 (the “Video Description”) and are incorporated herein by reference. The tables attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2 and incorporated herein by reference contain reconciliations of measures referenced in the Video Description that are not calculated based on accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America, also known as GAAP, to their most directly comparable GAAP measures (“Reconciliation Tables”).
