MediStim ASA has hired a new CEO for its subsidiary MediStim Kirop AS
CEO in MediStim KirOp AS, Nils-Erik Simonsen, has
after 25 years in office decided to retire at the end
of 2010. Simonsen is one of the founders of the Kir-
Op AS which was acquired by MediStim in 2006.
Kir-Op AS was established in 1985 and specialized in
distribution of medical devices, including surgical
operation equipment and research equipment for the
ophthalmologic market in Norway. Today the company is
among leading distributors in the country. MediStim
Kirop AS has 15 employees and is located on Etterstad
in Oslo. In addition to being a distributor for a
number of international companies in the Norwegian
market, MediStim Kirop also sells MediStim's
proprietary products for quality assurance of cardiac-
, vascular- and other surgery.
In the position as new CEO in MediStim Kirop AS, the
company has hired Ole Jørgen Robsrud. Robsrud
(f.1969) comes from the position as CEO in HemoCue
Norway, a company that sells diagnostic analysis
equipment for the health sector. He also has 13 years
of experience in the pharmaceutical company Pfizer,
where he has held a variety of management positions
in sales and marketing. Ole Jørgen Robsrud has an MBA
from BI. New CEO will, in addition to the daily
management of the subsidiary, have a central task in
developing all aspects of the business, including
strategic sales, supplier management and optimizing
internal processes. Ole Jørgen Robsrud will take
office at October 1st.
