The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Müritz Clinic in Waren: MediClin AG acquires shares in Nordmed GmbH – MediClin holds 75 % of the shares in the Müritz-Klinikum GmbH – The strategic concept is being implemented Frankfurt, 20 February, 2002. MediClin AG meanwhile holds 75 % of the shares in Müritz-Klinikum GmbH in Waren. Nordmed GmbH sold its 17.5% share to MediClin. In December, MediClin AG acquired 57.5 % of the shares in the Müritz Clinic that had previously been publicly held. Now, as a second step, the majority shareholding was increased to 75 %. Further shareholders are the Müritz district and the municipality of Röbel. In accordance with the capital increase agreed upon by the shareholders, MediClin will hold more than 90 % of the shares. The Müritz Clinic is an almost ideal supplement to the health care services provided by MediClin, which is already represented in the region through several hospitals. The aim is to develop the Müritz Clinic into a modern health care center in respect of both the provision of medical services and cross-regional services within the scope of the MediClin medical care network. The Crivitz am See hospital, the Plau am See hospital, and the Müritz Clinic will provide state-of-the-art medical care services in the new “Klinikverbund Seenplatte” (Clinic Association Seenplatte) which will also be of interest to patients living in the wider area.
