Carrying out by Maroc Telecom for the 4th and final block of the PACTE Program
Maroc Telecom has signed an agreement with the ANRT on the 4th and final block of PACTE (Program of access to Telecoms), which will allow to cover 1,573 localities.
This block is part of a program that includes 7,338 rural communes among the most difficult to reach, for a total investment estimated at 2.8 billion Dirhams.
5,765 of them will have been equipped by Maroc Telecom between 2008 and late July 2011. By December 31, 2011 all populations living in these areas will have access to mobile phone, they will be able to make emergency calls, to be in touch with close persons wherever they are and generally to be out of isolation.
