LPKF Laser & Electronics english
Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Ad-hoc Message LPKF will clearly miss the targeted figures for turnover and result for 2001 LPKF Laser & Electronics AG, Garbsen near Hannover, will not reach the planned turnover for the business year 2001. In spite of the good development in the segment Rapid Prototyping, there was however, a clear shift of investments for StencilLaser systems which became visible during the last weeks. Less orders were received than in the previous year. Potential customers also put off investments for new technologies (MicroLine, 3D-MID), which can from todays point of view only be expected for 2002. Due to the restraint of investors facing the insecure economic situation, LPKF is at present unable to make exact predictions for the current business year. The EBIT development will also be below average, but LPKF is confident to reach a positive annual result. On the meeting of the Supervisory Board on June 25th, 2001 , the Board of Directors explained extensive measures which were agreed upon, to present first results of these measures and the economic development on the occasion of the presentation of the half-year figures at a planned analysts meeting / press conference begin of September. Renowned experts and institutions expect a significant world-wide economic rise for the last quarter of 2001 and more sustained for 2002/2003, so that LPKF is optimistic for the future, especially with regard to the range of products that will in many aspects enable the next leap in technology to miniaturisation, thus being a warrant for growth. The Supervisory Board determined, as planned, Bernd Hildebrandt previous Chairman of the Board of Directors, as its new chairman. The previous Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Klaus Sülter, has been elected as deputy chairman. Since May 17th, 2001, Mr. Bernd Hackmann is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. end of ad hoc announcement (c) DGAP 26.06.2001 ——————————————————————————– WKN: 645000; Index: Listed: Neuer Markt in Frankfurt; Freiverkehr in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, München und Stuttgart 260735 Jun 01
