LPKF looks confidently towards the future

DGAP-News: LPKF Laser & Electronics AG / Key word(s): AGM/EGM

LDS business takes off. Dividend of 25 cents per share decided upon at
stockholders' meeting.

Garbsen, June 5th, 2014 - Today, at the stockholders' meeting in Hanover,
the shareholders of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG, headquartered in Garbsen,
agreed to stay the course set by company management, and gave the green
light to all items on the agenda. This year - as in 2013 - LPKF AG will be
sharing the company's profits by distributing dividends amounting to 25
cents per share. Also in the future, between 30 and 50 % of the profit per
share will be distributed to shareholders.

One item on the agenda at the stockholders' meeting was the election of the
supervisory board. The shareholders followed the suggestion of the current
supervisory board, and re-elected Prof. Dr.-Ing. Erich Barke, Dr. Heino
Büsching and Dipl.-Ing. Bernd Hackmann to the supervisory board as the
shareholders' representatives. In the subsequent constituent supervisory
board meeting, Dr. Heino Büsching was confirmed as the chair of the
supervisory board.

In the fiscal year 2013, LPKF AG profited greatly from focusing on its core
competencies and capitalizing on market opportunities. Turnover could be
increased from EUR 115.1 million to EUR 129.7 million (+ 13 %).
Furthermore, LPKF achieved an EBIT margin (result before interest and
taxes) of 17.9 %. This is very high indeed when compared to other companies
in the industry.

After a cautious first quarter in 2014, Ingo Bretthauer, CEO of LPKF, looks
confidently towards the future with full order books. Over the past few
weeks alone, LPKF has received over approx. EUR 15 million in orders for
Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) systems. It is particularly Chinese
cellphone manufacturers, such as Xiaomi from Beijing, who are using these
extremely space-saving and flexible components because they intend to sell
their best smartphones on the international market as well. The most
significant driving forces behind this trend are miniaturization and the
devices' constantly shrinking product cycles.

"We are glad that Chinese manufacturers have also come to rely on LDS in
order to make their smartphones even lighter and slimmer. The number of
antennas in each phone continues to increase, and this is something that is
extremely difficult to realize without LDS," explains Ingo Bretthauer.
