The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Haitec achieves by far better results due to focusing on services In the first half of 2002 the IT service provider Haitec was able to improve its EBIT as against the previous year by more than 4 million Euro to -2.84 million Euro, representing an increase of approx. 60%. In the first half year the company showed an EBIT of -6.9 million Euro. That reflects clearly not only just how successful the restructuring measures were, but is also a result of the company’s strategic realignment in terms of focusing more on the service business. In 2001 the service business amounted to 23.6%, and has now risen to 34%. In comparison with the half-year 2001 an increase of the share corresponding to 11.3 % was reached. After deducting the expenses from the sales proceeds and the other income corresponding to 705 thousand Euro, a deficit of -2.78 million Euro (previous year -4.6 million Euro) after interest and taxes is shown in the group. That means that Haitec still has to show a loss, but has been nevertheless able improve this result by 40%. The expenses in the group amounted to 26.37 million Euro (previous year 57.75 million Euro). The DVFA result per share in the first half-year of 2002 totalled -0.83 Euro (previous year -1.38 Euro).
