The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– HAITEC AG closes business year 2000* with turnover record – Turnover increased by 66 % to 104.9 million Euro – Above-average increase of turnover in the service sector Munich, February 20, 2001 – HAITEC AG (WKN 600 520) continued its course of growth in the last business year 2000. According to the preliminary results for the business year 2000 the IT-service provider increased its turnover (according to IAS) to 104.9 million Euro. This amount includes turnover contributions of the two 100-percent-subsidiaries ICP and update. In comparison with the result of last year of 63.2 million Euro there has been an increase of about 66 %. The organic increase amounts to 68,03 million Euro, this corresponds to an increase of 23 % vis-a-vis last year. The service turnover developed above average. The revenues from services were increase by more than 100 % to 24.2 million Euro (last year 12 million Euro). The service portion with regard to the overall turnover amounts to 23 % and is 4 percent above last year’s value. The operative result (EBIT) could be improved to -3.3 million Euro (last year -5.7 million Euro) despite considerable investments (expansion of the Competence Center e-Business and strengthening of the locations Nuremberg and Hanover) and depreciation. The fourth quarter 2000 showed a positive development and contributed almost 40 % to the overall turnover. The DVFA-result per share could be improved by 40 % from -0.98 Euro to -0,59 Euro per share compared with last year. The group net loss improved to -2.0 Mio. Euro compared to -5,3 Mio. Euro last year. HAITEC AG plans to achieve the turnaround the current business year 2001. Internal planning provides an operative result (EBIT) of 1.4 million Euro and a consolidated turnover of about 110 million Euro. * All figures for the business year 2000 are provisional.
