The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– HAITEC concludes third quarter with balanced result Munich, November 14, 2001, The Munich IT service provider HAITEC AG (WKN 600 520) has achieved its planned goal, namely to conclude the third quarter with a balanced result. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were concluded with -0.3 million Euro (in the last year -2.0 million Euro). Besides the positive sales trend and order situation, this was also due to the restructuring program which in parts has already been successfully implemented. The restructuring program involves among other things the centralization of purchase, the higher flexibility of the strategic market planning as well as the reinforcement of controlling in order to counteract risks in time. Another result of the restructuring program is the sale of the company update GmbH & Co.KG with effect from October 01, 2001. The nine month earnings before interest and taxes amount to -7.2 million Euro (in the last year -3.5 Euro). As planned, consolidated sales of the HAITEC AG could be increased by 21% to 76.3 million Euro. The portion of the high-value services amounts to 17.9 million Euro and, by measuring the total turnover, remained constant compared to the previous year. The DVFA-result per stock is with -1.76 higher than the result of the previous year of -0.69. Associated with the sale of update GmbH HAITEC AG is expecting a decrease of turnover of about 11.0 million Euro for the fourth quarter. In addition, there is an apparent restraint regarding investments. Considering the above-mentioned criteria and the weakness of the economic situation the board of management does not expect the business year 2001 to conclude with a positive result, but rather expects to partly decrease the losses of the first six months.
