Kentor re-commences Diamond Drilling in Kyrgyz Republic

After a short winter break. Kentor Gold Limited ("Kentor") has recommenced field exploration for 2006 with the start of drilling at the lower altitude Uzunbulak project Following completion of (insert). two scout drill holes at Uzunbulak, the rig will return to the Akbel project to resume the drill program designed to test for multi million ounce Kumtor style targets.

Work undertaken at the Uzunbulak project during the 2005 field season (ref: ASX announcement 22 August 2005) identified four areas with highly encouraging porphyry copper-gold mineralisation (Figure 1). The current program, consisting of two diamond drill holes (350-450m total) is testing target zones "A" and "B" for potential to host a bulk tonnage copper-gold deposit.

Results will be reported as and when they become available.
