The Company announces that Gidon Katz has been appointed to the ITV plc Board as an independent Non-executive Director with effect from today, 18 July 2022. 

Gidon has extensive digital and streaming services experience, along with in-depth knowledge of tech product and platform businesses having been responsible for the transformation of Now TV in the UK and the development and highly successful launch of Peacock, NBCU's streaming service.  Peacock is a pioneering streaming service which offers consumers the choice of a free, ad-supported version with premium tiers offering a wider range of content without ads. 

He is currently senior vice president of ROKU, and was previously at NBCU, Now TV, Box TV, Virgin Media and NTL. He will bring a digital and streaming perspective to the Board.

Sir Peter Bazalgette, ITV's Chairman, said: "Gidon is a digital native with in-depth streaming experience who will further strengthen the diverse mix of expertise and experience on the Board.  On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to welcome Gidon to ITV."
