Fieldwork to Commence at Portland Creek Uranium Project

Letter of acceptance received for undertaking fieldwork at the Portland Creek Uranium Project including prospecting, channel sampling and geochemical surveying

Highlights

Exploration program of works approved for Portland Creek Uranium Project by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador

Uranium is considered a critical mineral by Newfoundland and Labrador to supply zero-carbon energy in the transition towards a green economy[1]

Exploration is now being accelerated with personnel currently mobilizing to site to undertake target reconnaissance

Field crews will be equipped to commence sampling as a part of the ground truthing of T1-T8 targets, subject to weather conditions

The provincial Newfoundland archaeology office has reviewed and approved the program, confirming that no known archaeological sites exist over the T1-T8 uranium corridor

Planning underway for a UAV photogrammetry/magnetic survey covering the highly prospective Talus Prospect to support ongoing field exploration and diamond drill hole planning

Infini Resources Ltd (ASX: I88 , “Infini” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce government approval for proposed exploration activities at the Portland Creek uranium project in Newfoundland, Canada. The Company is fully permitted to undertake prospecting, channel sampling and geochemical surveying at its priority uranium targets T1-T8 on mineral claims 036683M and 036684M. The submission of this work proposal followed the recent highly successful geological and geophysical desktop studies undertaken by the Company (refer to ASX announcements 15 and 29 January 2024).

Infini’s CEO, Charles Armstrong said : “It is outstanding to see our proposed exploration activities at Portland Creek having been assessed and approved in such a short amount of time. This further highlights the supportive environment Infini is operating in with respect to Uranium exploration in Newfoundland, and we are thrilled to begin exploring over these exceptional Uranium targets.

The Company is now aggressively pursuing its exploration efforts at T1-T8 with a field crew currently being mobilized to site to undertake initial reconnaissance and potential sampling if ground conditions permit. The Talus prospect remains the key focus of any ongoing field activities where high-grade grab samples coincident with a massive U/Th anomaly suggest the potential for an undiscovered uranium deposit to exist on the 100% owned project.”

About Portland Creek Uranium Project

The Portland Creek Project covers an area of 108 km[2] in addition to 41 km[2] in application and is situated in the Precambrian Long-Range Complex of the Humber Tectonic – Stratigraphic zone. These members include metaquartzite and a suite of paragneisses, intruded by leucocratic pink granite, which have likely been thrust westwards over Palaeozoic carbonate-dominant sediments. The Claims are situated over a large regional uranium anomaly that was identified in the 1970’s by a Newfoundland government stream sediment sampling program. There is one uranium showing on the property as listed in the Newfoundland Mineral Deposit Index inventory with 2,180 ppm U3O8 (refer Prospectus dated 30 November 2023).
