Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

(d) The Boards of Directors (the “Boards”) of Home Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) and Home Bank, N.A. (the “Bank”), the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, announced the appointment of Donald W. Washington to the Boards effective October 15, 2021. Mr. Washington was appointed to the class of directors whose terms will expire in 2022. Compensation for Mr. Washington will be consistent with the Company’s previously disclosed compensation for directors. Such compensation is described in the Company’s proxy statement for its 2021 annual meeting of shareholders filed on March 26, 2021, which disclosure is incorporated herein by reference.

At this time, Board committee assignments for Mr. Washington have not been finalized. There are no transactions in which Mr. Washington has an interest requiring disclosure under Item 404(a) of Regulations S-K.

A copy of the Company’s press release relating to the appointment of Mr. Washington as director is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
