The Ministry of Mines, Government of India vide Order No. 10/3/2017.Met.1II dated 27.9.2018 (copy enclosed) has appointed Shri Arun Kumar Shukla, Executive Director, National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd, as Director (Operations) in Hindustan Copper Ltd in the pay scale of Rs.1,80,000' 3,40,0001 - for a period of five years from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation (31.7.2023), or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Shri Arun Kumar Shukla has assumed the charge of the post of Director (Operations), Hindustan Copper Ltd from 1.10.2018. Brief profile of Shri Shukla is enclosed. Shri Shukla is not related to any other Members of the Board of Directors of the Company or their relatives. Shri Shukla is not debarred from holding the office of director pursuant to any SEBIOrder or any other authority.

Brief Profile of Shri Arun Kumar Shukla, Director (Operations), Hindustan Copper Ltd

Shri Arun Kumar Shukla is a Graduate Mining Engineer of 1985 batch from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He has done his M.Tech. in Environmental Engg. and also obtained degree of Law (LLB). He possesses First Class Mines Managers' Certificate under The Mines Act, 1952.

Shri Shukla is having a vast experience of Indian Mining Industry. He has worked in Central Coalfields Ltd for more than 21 years and also worked in NMDC Ltd. since October, 2006. On deputation from NMDC, he served as Managing Director of Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (A State PSU) for about 2 years. He was also holding the charge of CEO of the two newly formed Joint Venture Companies of NMDC viz. NMDC-CMDCLtd. and JNMDC Ltd. to start new mines in the state of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand respectively. Prior to joining Hindustan Copper Ltd, Shri Shukla was working as Executive Director in NMDC Ltd and was heading one of its major units namely Bailadila Iron Ore Mines, Bacheli Complex in Bastar, Chhattisgarh.

Shri Shukla is an active member of various professional bodies such as Institution of Engineers (India), MGMI, MEAl, ISTD. He has visited various countries like Australia, Europe, USA, Canada and Africa as a member of technical delegations of the Government of India.
