Appointment of Non – Executive Director

Wednesday 26[th] September 2007 . The Directors are pleased to announce that XTEK Limited (“the Company”), has appointed Major General Michael O’Brien CSC (Retired) as a Non - Executive Director of the Company.

General O’Brien is a former Army Officer who served with distinction in the Australian Army for over 35 years and was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross for his military service. He is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon and the Australian Staff College of Defence and Strategic Studies. General O’Brien has a Bachelor Degree in Science, a Master of Defence Administration from Cranfield in the UK (MBA equivalent) and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. His previous military appointments include senior positions in the Defence Material Organisation (Director General) and as Support Commander Army (Major General) responsible for all Integrated Logistic Distribution Systems prior to his retirement in 2000.

In addition to his operational appointments within the military, General O’Brien has served on the Board of Directors of the Defence Force Credit Union Limited (DFCU) since 1985. He was Chairman of the Board during the period 1990 – 2005.
