HELMA Eigenheimbau AG with the best results in the company’s history

• Expansion successfully continued
• Revenue increase by some 74 % to € 57,563 thousand

Isernhagen, 23 April 2007 – HELMA Eigenheimbau AG achieved the best results
in the company’s history in the financial year 2006. With its consequently
continued, very successful expansion strategy, the construction service
provider managed to not only continue the significant revenue increases of
past years in 2006, but even exceed them considerably. After sales revenues
of € 33,128 thousand in 2005 had already exceeded those of the financial
year 2004 by some 59 percent, the company generated an even stronger
revenue growth of some 74 percent to € 57,563 thousand in 2006.

It should particularly be pointed out that in 2006, the company again
managed to generate sales revenues of several million euros in sales
regions where it had shown no or very low revenues in 2004. With the
continuation of the expansion in 2007, a similar performance should also be
achieved in new sales regions such as Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. Here
the company will stick to its successful sales strategy and build
additional show houses in massive construction form at interesting sales
locations. An attractive, heavily extended advertising concept, in which
well-known actor, author and HELMA builder Sky du Mont plays a part, will
give HELMA houses additional impulse.

Significant improvement in the profit situation:

It was particularly the growth in the new sales regions that required
special efforts in 2006. For this reason the profit guidance was not able
to be fully reached. However, HELMA Eigenheimbau AG was able to heavily
increase its profits in the financial year 2006. Including the income from
the participation in HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH & Co. KG and excluding one-off
effects in 2006 such as the IPO costs as well as expenditures and special
payments relating to the 25-year anniversary of the company, EBIT of €
2,485 thousand came in some 330 percent higher than in the same period of
the previous year.

Development of the order situation considerably better than the sector
trend:

Despite the advanced purchase effects from the omission of state housing
grants, which heavily boosted the sector’s order development in 2005 and
noticeably burdened it in 2006, the HELMA Group managed to nearly maintain
its order intake volume from the previous year in the financial year 2006
and thus showed significantly positive development against the sector
trend. As such, HELMA was able to gain additional market shares. The gross
order intake amounted to € 64.7 million after € 66.7 million in 2005. At €
52.4 million, the gross order backlog as of year-end 2006 was somewhat
lower than at the end of 2005 (€ 56.1 million). This was due to partial
performance agreements accounted for.

Very solid financial position:

Total assets of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG on 31 December 2006 amounted to €
36,742 thousand and have increased by € 21,033 thousand compared to 2005 or
133.9%. The shareholders’ equity increased as of 31 December 2006 to €
14,376 thousand (2005: € 906 thousand), thus equalling an equity ratio of
39.1 percent. To continue its successful expansion strategy, the company
sees itself as being solidly financed and also has a sufficient amount of
cash and cash equivalents at its disposal with € 15,946 thousand (previous
year: € 3,237 thousand).

Positive outlook for 2007:

As a result of the shortened average processing times of house contracts
due to optimised internal structures, the HELMA Group will be able to
complete a number of the orders acquired in 2007 in the same year in
addition to the order backlog at the end of the financial year 2006. The
order intake up to now in the current financial year gives the Management
Board confidence that the HELMA Group’s revenues in the financial year 2007
will amount to more than € 80 million. With such a revenue volume, the
Management Board of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG expects EBIT to more than double
to € 5.5 million.
