Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in pre-open until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Thursday, 6 October 2005 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Helix Resources Limited requests that Australian Stock Exchange affect a Trading Halt on the Company's securities from the commencement of business on Tuesday, 4th October 2005 until the commencement of business on Thursday, 6th October 2005.

The Company anticipates making an announcement regarding a new fund raising prior to the commencement of business on Thursday, 6th October 2005.

Helix Resources is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
