HAZER SELECTS ENGINEERING PARTNER FOR COMMERCIAL DEMONSTRATION PLANT

• Primero Group Ltd selected as preferred engineering contractor for Hazer Commercial Demonstration Plant.

• Initial design engineering contract awarded to Primero under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) scope of work.

PERTH, AUSTRALIA; 23 JULY 2019 : Hazer Group Limited (ASX HZR) is pleased to announce the selection of Primero Group Ltd (ASX PGX) (“Primero”) as the preferred engineering contractor for the proposed Hazer Commercial Demonstration Plant (“Hazer CDP”).

Hazer has awarded Primero a contract for an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase scope for work. Under this agreement, Primero will undertake initial detailed design activities necessary to allow project to progress to full EPC contracting and procurement. This contract will commence in late July and is expected to take approximately 4 months.

Primero Group Ltd are a WA based independent engineering and construction company. Primero offers an integrated design, fabrication and construction service with engineering offices in Perth area and fabrication facilities in Bibra Lake (Perth, WA). Primero have a strong track record of delivering complex, small scale projects for leading power, energy and infrastructure clients.

The ECI Phase is expected to be completed around November 2019 and will provide Hazer the opportunity to continue into award of an Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contract. Completion of construction and commencement of commissioning for the Hazer CDP remains targeted for end 2020 as previously advised.

ABOUT THE HAZER COMMERCIAL DEMONSTRATION PLANT

The Hazer CDP will be the first commercial scale demonstration of the Hazer Process. As part of the commercialisation strategy, Hazer is proposing to build a 100 tonne per annum (hydrogen production capacity) Commercial Demonstration Plant utilising waste biogas as its feedstock. The plant is proposed to be located (and biogas supplied from) the Water Corporation’s Woodman Point Waste-Water Treatment Plant.
