Notification of Transactions of Directors

9 October 2013

On 8 October 2013, the Company was notified by the trustees of the Hammerson Share Incentive Plan (the "SIP") of the following transactions in the Company's ordinary shares of 25 pence each (the "Shares"):

1.   on 4 October 2013, Partnership Shares were purchased at a price of 500.50 pence per Share on behalf of Timon Drakesmith, an Executive Director.  In accordance with the terms of the SIP, Mr Drakesmith was awarded two Matching Share for each Partnership Share purchased.

2.   on 7 October 2013, Dividend Shares were purchased at a price of 496.00 pence per Share on behalf of David Atkins, Timon Drakesmith and Peter Cole, Executive Directors of the Company.

The number of Shares purchased/awarded and the total holdings in the Company's Shares following the transactions are as follows:
